Blades of Glory: GREAT NEWS on my Running Blade Fund Raise

FANTASTIC NEWS!

As you know, I have developed a special relationship with a young man named Liam through IRun4 Michael. Liam cannot run as he's confined to a wheelchair. He cannot see me race nor read my posts as he is blind. He was born with hydrocephalus (water on the brain,) and has cerebral palsy and severe scoliosis. IRun4 largely works on Facebook as you post runs and races and encouragement to your online friend.

While I live in Denver and Liam and his parents (Joan and Fabian) live in San Diego, we have now met a couple times.  We borrowed a race blade from his friend Cormac and raced at the Carlsbad 5000 earlier this year. (Race post HERE.)

Due to the amazing experience we had in San Diego, I have been working with Liam's mom, Joan on a fund raise (HERE) to buy Liam his own Team Hoyt racing blade. We have amazing news regarding Liam's blade. Call it a "coinkydink" or "happenstance" but I happened to meet Maggie Seymour from RunFreeRun.com along with Team Hoyt San Diego at the Carlsbad race. Little did I know that chance encounter would help Liam and our desire to give him more race adrenaline experiences.  I share that news in a phone conversation with Maggie in the YouTube video below (MP3 download also HERE.)

Want to listen to the interview with Maggie on the go? Download the MP3 file HERE. Maggie starts her transcontinental run in San Diego on July 22nd, 2017 where she plans to present Liam his racing blade. I plan to join her and get the first couple of miles with Liam and Maggie.
